The FAC Yeah Team on September 30th, 2009

This is just a quick fly fishing post from Grindstone Creek, before the end of the 2009 season.  Nothing huge here, but still fun to catch the small ones.  This was another solo outing with only Steve on the water.  See below for the day’s results.

Location: Grindstone Creek, Ontario (43.288962° N, 79.887247° W)
Target:
Rainbow Trout
Temperature/Conditions: ~22°C, sunny
Results: See below

Pictures:
Caught this healthy little rainbow trout on an elk hair caddis dry fly.  The fish don’t get much bigger than this in Grindstone…

On her way back to a safe hiding spot…until next time when she’s put on some weight 😉

I wonder if this Great Blue Heron had any better luck than I did…

Overall, it was a short but exciting time on the river.  Hopefully the next Grindstone Creek post will contain some larger fish.  FAC Yeah!
