This is a short posting to show some of the fish caught off the shore of Lake Erie on a warm August evening in 2008. It was a solo outing as well, as only Steve was around to go. It’s quite surprising how many fish there are to be had so close to shore. Here are a few pics to show what Steve was able to land that evening. Keep in mind he took all the photos…by himself…so composure was not fantastic! You’ll soon see what this means…
Location: Lake Erie, Ontario (42.699847° N, 80.24929° W)
Target: Largemouth Bass
Temperature/Conditions: Evening – clear, ~24°C
Results: See below

This was the place to be…
Yes, that is the moon…
A decent largemouth bass…taken from the weedline. She looks nice and healthy!
Steve and the bass…did we mention anything about bad photo composure? Here it is!
And then came the pike which nailed a spinnerbait in the thick of the weeds…she hit quite hard!
It was a quick evening on SHORE, but during that short time, fishing was fairly productive! Too bad the sun had to go down. FAC Yeah!
