The FAC Yeah Team on August 30th, 2008

Fishing the Trent-Severn Waterway in 2008 unfortunately yielded similar results as we saw in 2007:  it’s a tough place to catch fish!  We fished for a few solid days – sunrise to sunset – but we really didn’t produce all that many fish.  Our bait choices included just about everything our tackle boxes had to offer, but there really wasn’t a magical bait that produced for us.  Take a look below for the full details!

Location: Trent-Severn Waterway, Ontario (44.098465° N, 77.572317° W)
Target:
Largemouth Bass
Temperature/Conditions: 25°C / Mostly clear and sunny
Results: See below

Like in 2007, the day looked very promising…

One of the first fish caught on our trip was this tiny northern pike on a chartreuse spinner? IMG_5059

Then Steve nailed this small largemouth bass with a fire-tiger spinner…

Some company on the shore…good thing we finished eating our lunch and got back on the water before they came for a drink!

Steve really hoping to land something soon…

Walter lands another northern pike the next day…

Walter lands a nice smallmouth bass using a top-water bait.  It was a great strike and fight!

Shortly after Walter lands the nice smallmouth, Steve lands this decent pike…

This was the ‘next time’ as mentioned in the 2007 posting, but hey we’re up for a challenge!  We’ll give it another try in ’09!  FAC Yeah!
